The food was really good but it is super expensive. Nice atmosphere. Be prepared to spend at least $100 for two people. We will be back but only for special occasions.
Food was amazing.
Let me start by saying we were here on Valentinea day, so.out the gate this review is not timely, but no worries its memorable.  V day is a day I just hate and NEVER celebrate let along go out to eat.  I dont want flowers or gifts or chocolate.  No thank you.  However comma, it just so happened that suga snacks (my husband) has been out of town on business for like a month and  he had just gotten home and we were hungry so he said leta eat and this restaurant was bookmarked so we went.  We both forgot it was V day.but pressed on.  #braveones Soooooooo, it's a no for me.  I had this booked marked because I used to eat at the 42nd street oyster bar in Grand Central in NYC often enough so just thought it would be similiar.  I am  ot even sure they are the same owners or brand now. Greeting was great.  Restaurant was nice.  Service at the bar exceptional.  Service at the table was meh.  We had to wait for a table so we went to the bar and had calamari and drinks.  I enjoyed the calamari a lot.  It was seasoned perfectly, fried lightly marinara sauce and plentiful as an appetizer.  I love the portion size because most places serve you small portions or ttry to distract you with some other nonsense like onion straws or slaw.  Chile bye!!   Where is my mother loving calamari??  So was good and I was hyped about dinner. So we get a table and my husband ordered fried oyster and more fried this and that.  I pray his doctor is reading this review because Lord knows I tried to get him to order steamed and broiled okay!  But short of hitting him in the head with a brick he wasn't having g it so I just ordered one of my favs, Cioppini. People....all and I do mean all the fried food tasted like it had been friend in old grease and all of it was wayyyyy too dark.  You know how something was fried in old grease and it has that color that says...I wouldn't eat that if I were you.  Yeah I know. Like what happened to the grease that the calamari was cooked in??? We are both great cooks.  I make a mean Cioppini.  One of my daughter in laws is a transplant straight from Italy and that girl can cook!  She has taught me a thing or 50 about Italian food so when I tell you people beg me to make Cioppino it is down right annoying.  That, my gumbo and my crab cakes.#yesiambragging.   So I get it..its an expensive dish and you are not adding the most important ingredient which is love and it's not an italian restaurant and it has to go a long way to be profitable, like I am giving them all the passes on why this dish is so awful.  But day-um! It was THE worst Cioppino I have ever had at any restaurant anywhere. It was almost flavorless and it tasted like someone opened a can of tomato, added too much liquid and then threw in weak seasoning and added the seafood.  I asked my husband to taste it and he doesn't even look good.  He said is it watered down.  EXACTLY.  but I picked out the scallops which were very tender and boxed up the rest.  Tossed it when I got home..could not do it. My husband bought all that fried dark matter home too which got tossed also.   The hush puppies were eaten with coffee the next day lol. So nope would not go back.  Sad.
