Really not a fan of this place, the soup dumplings are decent, the skin is a bit chewy but the filling is good especially the crab dumpling. Ordered the wonton in chili oil that's the worst one I've ever taste, it's not spicy at all and soaked in sesame sauce. I had to dip in other sauce to eat it. The beef and tripe appetizer is not authentic at all, barely any beef inside a lot of tender, didn't see any tripe, it's soaked in the oil. The waiter even told me that the pan fried buns are not good because it's chicken and very dry, which I really appreciate the honesty to Chinese taste. The menu is full of Americanized food, I can see that attract a lot of tourist. Don't think I will ever come back again.
While I really enjoyed their pan-fried buns, the other dish I ordered, the fried rice cakes, felt a bit under seasoned and overall very underwhelming. The joint is very cozy and can get crowded. I would stick to the dumpling varieties in terms of dishes to select from
This place is horrible. I recommend going to other shanghai spots around the area. I ordered a rack of soup dumplings and scallion pancakes which took over 40mins... When we finally received our food the scallion pancake was full of raw dough. They also had us sitting in a round table with another party and we came at the same exact time. They finished and got their food before we got ours. Zero customer service! Not coming back here ever again, its just a tourist trap.
