You will enjoy its food, particularly tasty fillet steaks, crab cakes and ribeye. A number of guests of this steakhouse say that good bread pudding and perfectly cooked banana pudding are served here. Choose delicious wine, you won't regret it.

Great restaurant that filed for bankruptcy. May want to consider Kemah Boardwalk or Opus down the street. What a shame good place for drinks.

I had high hopes for this place, with its name change and rebranding from the Kemah Steakhouse to 707 Chophouse, but this place is far from a Cinderella story. Food is good, but the customer service is abismile. You cannot justify charging $49 for sea bass and $60+ for steaks and provide IHOP quality service. The staff were unpolished and not knowledgeable. They didn't know the specials, couldn't artfully describe the menu, and used descriptive words like "really,really" good. Bread didn't hit our table until we asked for it. The timing of our entrees were off. We were 2 bites into our salads when our 2nd course was brought out. I sent it back, asking that we please have a moment to enjoy our salads. We weren't quite finished with the salads, when out came the entrees again and were forcibly set down in front of us. The server saying the chef needed these to get out of the kitchen and to you because they can't wait anymore. I was not happy. My fish was cold and the pasta dish was luke warm gruel. We were rushed through the entire meal, then when we wanted to leave, we sat and waited for our bill for an extended period of time. This place could be something special, but they just can't seem to get it right.

Attempted to surprise my wife for our anniversary and when we arrived for our reservations there were about 10 other people standing outside who had reservations that notified us the place close. No answer when we attempted to call, nothing on the web site that indicated they were closed. I will never recommend this place to anyone!! DO NOT GO THERE, hopefully they close their doors for good!!!!
