Great, family owned, bakery on Cottage Street in Bar Harbor. It is one of my favorite places to get breakfast, the breakfast sandwiches are delicious, but my go to order is the salt and pepper bagel toasted with their homemade veggie cream cheese. I call my order in because I know how busy Bar Harbor is. I love their friendly service, Charity usually sings me a few notes of my favorite song.

$8 and a 30 minute wait for a breakfast sandwich with 1 thin slice of ham, uneven mustard, and 3 haphazard onion slivers. Not worth the wait or the money.

Hi Lila, firstly I apologize for your sandwich not being to your liking. We are, as everyone is, short-staffed and working on training new folks. When you order in a lunch rush, things do take longer and sometimes new folks make mistakes. Thank you for pointing this out here versus letting us know personally so we could handle it for you and correcting it. We hope you have a great day, and maybe in the future remember to start at the root of the issue and BE KIND, we are all struggling.

We got the blueberry pie, blueberry muffin, and chocolate croissant. I’m always trying chocolate croissants everywhere. This was by far the most delicious chocolate croissant I’ve ever had, and likely ever will have- in my life. I forgot to get it warmed up and eating it cold was still the best croissant I’ve ever had! The blueberry muffin was good, but the pie and croissant knocked it out of the water. The pie was perfectly flavored and fresh. I’d never had blueberry pie before and was super weary of it, but figured my first one should be the best quality possible, and while in Maine. I don’t regret that one bit and I don’t think I’ll ever try it again until I’m back in Maine eating it from A slice of Eden.
