Carlos is a great bartender. It was only his fifth day. But he was very warm and friendly so I have the coast chicken. Maybe I just have a super spicy palette. I didn't think it was that spicy but it was very tasty. It's dry though. No gravy the garlic naan was good, but we needed a sauce to dip it in the bhel puri was excellent. Love the tomato and cucumber Raita.

Went to Aroqa in person earlier this year and was underwhelmed by the food and ambience but figured I'd give it another shot. Ordered the kofta for take out. It's decent (nothing great but not bad either) but for the price ($23 for 3 pieces of small kofta) there are tonnes of better Indian restaurants. Before going here please compare the prices to Indian accent / junoon/tribeca tamarind/baar baar/dhamaka and so many more. They're all a tier above this in ambience and food.

It was easy to book a last minute reservation here, which was nice. Candidly speaking, the staff was a mix of good and mediocre. My wife and I ordered the Kurkuri Bhel, the Paratwala Paneer, Palak Paneer, and Chicken Tikka Masala. The waitress took our order and shortly thereafter brought out the Kurkuri Bhel first. I took the first bite and tasted peanuts - which can send my wife into anaphylactic shock and hospitalize her, which has also happened before and so we try to exercise caution. No where on the menu did it state that there were peanuts or any nuts in the food (see the attached photo of the menu item for example). The waitress did not warn us, but did confirm after serving it that there were peanuts in the dish and I am glad she at least knew that much. She did take that meal off the bill, but it shouldn't have gotten that far. Another waitress served us with AirPods in her ears... very disconnected from the job and definitely something new I haven't seen in a restaurant before. Also, the palak paneer was very salty, and made me wonder if the chefs bothered tasting anything they were serving? The other two dishes were fine, but it really only takes one, but in this case two bad meals to ruin the overall experience. The staff did say goodbye to us as we were leaving and we're mostly pleasant, but I don't think I'll be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Also, no mango lassies!? Come on.
