Nice location in the city centre. Reasonable rates. Huge portions. We ordered a cod and a medium chips. It was enough for two people. Food is all right. Very little seasoning. We asked for salt and vinegar on the food, but it was still quite bland. Service is super quick. We barely had to wait a minute. I'm really disheartened to share that my recent experience with Abingdon Fish and Chips fell woefully short of expectations. After placing an online order and providing my postcode for delivery, I was initially told to expect my meal in about 45 minutes. However, as the wait extended beyond the promised time, reaching an hour and 15 minutes, I felt compelled to call and inquire about the status of my order. To my dismay, the response was both surprising and frustrating. I was informed that my location was considered "too far" for delivery—a detail that was neither communicated at the time of ordering nor during the extended waiting period. While they offered a refund, the lack of proactive communication regarding the order or the delivery issue left a bitter taste. Not only did this experience disrupt our meal plans, but it also highlighted a significant gap in customer service and communication. It's disappointing to see such a lapse from a local establishment, and I hope they take this feedback to heart to improve their services in the future. Sadly, based on this experience, I'm unable to recommend Abingdon Fish and Chips... Totally avoidable situation. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Never going back to this store again! Had a few issues in the past with being served old stale re heated food, went in and asked for 5 large cod to be cooked fresh as they were cooking some for an order and the ones on display looked old, they refused so I took my businesses elsewhere. Poor food and even worse service! So many fish and chip shops in Abingdon... AVOID THIS SHOP!
