We stopped by on DC Restaurant week and this place blew our socks off! First, it has very nice table setting and our waitress, Brittany, was super nice and friendly. The food was amazing! From appetizer, to entree to dessert, this visit was literally a perfect dining experience. All the food was presented so well. The boudin balls were a new and interesting concept but delicious to eat. The NOLA bbq shrimp was the best shrimp entree we’ve ever had. And the shrimp and grits was also the best shrimp and grits I’d ever had. It had such rich and complex flavors and seasoning with plentiful amounts of perfectly cooked shrimp. We couldn’t stop talking about how impressed we were. Despite the $110 bill and $22 parking, this was a dining experience we will never forget. Will definitely come back!
The category 5 Hurricane drink was sooo good. We enjoyed some appetizers--- the charbroiled oysters, the soft shell crab, greens, and jalapeño grits were to die for. I thoroughly enjoyed the service at the bar. We were treated like we were regulars. For a person who's from the south and who's lived in New Orleans... I was really impressed with the creole cuisine.
At Corduroy, the glory is in the details: good bread, nice wines by the glass, fluffy omelets at lunch—and a chef who never seems to be away from his stove.
