Stunning hotel -- spectacular service and charming architecture. Upon arrival the valet and bellman greeted and welcomed us. They were very helpful and got us taken care of while we focused on our toddler. Bags came promptly. We had requested a crib and I double checked upon check in but it wasn't at up in room when we arrived, however, they were quick to bring it as soon as we called. Every interaction with front office, housekeeping, facilities and bellservice was great. We stayed here from Friday to Sunday and the area around hotel was safe and beautiful. Even got a chance to walk around block at night to enjoy to brisk scenery. I also recommend checking out the Tonga Room too where they have live entertainment. The band, I believe they were called Island Girl, were awesome. Drinks are delicious and well made. A nice getaway for a couple hours for parents. This is definitely our go-to hotel when we visit the Bay! Service: 5

Fairmont San Francisco in San Francisco,Before the Fairmont was even open, Mother Nature tried to tear it down. But the recently built hotel survived San Francisco's devastating 1906 earthquake relatively unscathed, going on to open just one year later. In 1945, the United Nations charter was drafted in the hotel's Garden Room, and Tony Bennett first crooned "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" in the Venetian Room, still home to the Bay Area Cabaret.
