I actually hoped for better here.. The octopus was pretty chewy and seafood-y... the duck rolls were kinda bland ish... i dont know.. something was missing.. some sort of "zest" or more of a variety for the not so adventurous eaters....  :) Willing to try again!
This sushi/tequila bar is located on the Rosewood Mayakoba property. You do need a reservation prior to coming in.  Additionally the location is great. It's near the front and has a balcony that overlooks the water. The tequila library/bar is actually really awesome to see and they have a crazy amount of booze to choose from. It is a very high end sushi bar, so be prepared to pay some $$$. Their menus are lit up, the room is fairly dark, but the ambiance is nice. The sushi is fresh and flavorful. We ordered edamame, rock shrimp, a beef platter along with a few roles and some dessert. The rock shrimp was great. Edamame was good yet spicy. The roles were good however not worth the price in my opinion. I've had equally great sushi in hawaii for half the price. The beef dish and dessert was nice. We ordered an assorted dessert with fruit, a macaron and a little flavorful ball of some jelly thing- not sure what it was. Service was good. I would come again however it was my least favorite place to eat at the RW area.
I might can’t stand asian food after trying this restaurant. Food was tasteless and has a bad smell. I did like service and place only.
