Shopping half a day in Brier Creek can be quite a hard thing, I should say. But there is a place with a tasty smell of roasted chicken that attracts everybody nearby - Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken. The restaurant offers healthy fast food, as we can say. The chicken is cooked slowly and well-marinated over natural wood charcoal.

We definitely recommend trying lomo saltado, fried plantains, and, of course, fried chicken. You can also choose the veggie plate. There are daily specials, for example, pollo saltado, jerk chicken or tacos that cost just $8.99.

Good portions, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere help you to relax and take a break from shopping.

I came to eat lunch, they didn’t have 2 side options available. Although the sides are already limited. I said I would wait the 6 minutes I was told 1 item would be ready. The host had already placed my chicken and rice on a plate. When I returned in 10 minutes, the green beans still weren’t ready. When They were finally ready, the hostess pull the place and rice that was plated more the. 10 minutes ago to add green beans to it. As if I want hot green beans and cold chicken & rice. Absolutely ridiculous! I get my food, the green beans were gross. Clearly had been rushed and cooked. The white creamy sauce had even been added to the green beans. Terrible experience. A ton of employees but bad service & gross food. Do better! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken is an AMAZING restaurant chain in the Raleigh area! We visited here for the first time recently because a friend told us they have some of the very best chicken out there, and he was correct! This is a counter-serve Peruvian restaurants with all the classics like lomo and pollo saltado, but their signature dish is their Peruvian rotisserie chicken - white or dark meat! You NEED to try this if you like chicken. The flavoring is top-notch, seasoned better than any non-fried chicken I’ve ever had before. I would literally get this almost every day if I could. However, we did try other things like their lomo saltado and they were excellent as well. Rice and black beans, plantains, yucca, fries, and all the sides are awesome. This seems like one of those places where you can order pretty much anything and be VERY happy with the final product! Be sure to try some chicha morada when you visit here - it’s a super classic Peruvian drink I had while I visited the country. Sweet, with a unique flavorit’s awesome! Service is friendly, prices are reasonable, and food is counter-serve so it is super fast. I love this place and can’t wait to come back!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
