First time in Tulsa and looking for a place to eat before a concert.  We definitely made the right choice by picking Amelia's. Cozy atmosphere and at first we were disappointed that counter seating was the only option available, but it turned out to be some of the best seats in the house as we got to watch the chefs work their magic in the open kitchen. The only downfall is that made our decision on what to order more difficult as everything looked delicious. Our attentive server, Catherine recommended the trout, and my husband enjoyed it very much. We also had a corn fritter appetizer which was delicious. Although the steaks looked amazing, I went a little lighter with a flatbread and was not disappointed. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and the presentation was beautiful. Even though it was a busy night, the bartender even invented a drink I would like. The vibe was fun with music from the artist we were going to see playing and even a special drink named after him on the menu. Finally, Amelia, the owner was in the house welcoming guests and making sure everything was running smoothly. Really enjoyed our time at Amelia's and it would be tempting to make the four hour trip just to eat here again.
Oh. My. Gosh. Tulsa is lucky to have this little gem. Everything was fantastic from the moment we walked in the door. The staff was accommodating and quick to service us. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer and the pita was the best I've ever had. We split the tomahawk steak, which came with crispy roasted potatoes, crisp hericot Verts, and three different complimentary sauces. The steak has a nice crust, cooked medium rare with just the right amount of seasoning to compliment the natural beef flavor without overwhelming the steak. We ordered wine with our meal. Everything was fabulous and we will definitely be back.
This was the second time to eat here. The first time was good. This visit was not at all good. It was our 36th anniversary which I alerted the restaurant to when making the reservation. The steaks we ordered were tough and fatty. When paying  $32 each for their Steak dinner you should feel you got more than a "Golden Coral" type grade! There was no mention of our anniversary celebration. A congratulation would have been fine. Won't be back and will let others know of our poor experience here!  Very disappointing dining experience.
