Awesome food and upscale place for a great lunch or dinner. They were very accommodation to our Vegan needs as well
Amen street is one of my favorite places to bring a visitor for fresh fish and happy hours. The location is in a gorgeous part of town and a short walk from the main downtown attractions. The happy hour is amazing but only available at the bar, some days there  might be a little wait to get space at the bar but it usually opens up with a little patience.  The stars of the happy hour menu are the fresh and yummy oysters , but the fried green tomatoes and mussels are strong contenders. The dessert options are also strong, We decided to share the pecan pie and it was to die for.  The location is also   The service at the bar is always courteous, efficient and fast.  Do not miss it!
Nicely non-nautical place, more of a pub atmosphere, vs anchora and nets. I was initially very out off by a terribly overacted she-crab soup that  burned by throat. I never send dishes back, but couldn't choke it down. The waiter was nice about swapping in fried green tomatoes. They came with nicely fried tomatoes wirh homemade hot 'n' sour okra with a side of pimento cheese Then I had  the swordfish prepared "lo country style" (pimento cheese grits, roasted shrimp gravy, haricots verts, sweet corn and green tomato chow-chow) both we're (thankfully) well seasoned and delicious - I mean two dishes wirh pimento cheese? Twist my arm. (They came out together - this would be a good time to let my entree sit under a heat lamp.) A stumble to start -- in my limits experience she-crab soup is both subjective and hard to do well -- but in thr end a win.
