You live a couple miles down the road and initially told my bartender who questioned why your ticket was so old, you were from out of town. None of my staff recognized you, if they had we would have made an exception. Many people forget their copy when claiming their envelope and my bartenders ask for identification and then give them their winnings assuming they discard their carbon copy ticket themselves. Without an envelope or unclaimed ticket in their bag there is no way to prove you didn’t already claim the ticket. The same bartender was there Friday evening and had no recollection of you or seeing an unclaimed envelope with your name on it for several months. Maybe you should take some responsibility for your own negligence of not claiming your winnings in a reasonable amount of time. Even many checks are only valid for 90 days. You are responsible for claiming lottery winnings within 180 days or it is not valid any longer. For your information the top of your ticket you tried to claim over 11 months later reads for tracking purposes only… no cash value. I comped your $45 dollar dinner tab and tipped your server since you stiffed her when she had nothing to do with your issue and still served your table efficiently.More
