I’m obsessed with the Chicken Dum Biryani! It can be a little gamey at times, but it’s worth it for the flavor and overall presentation. A really special place! Parking: Take the train, don’t drive! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Chicken Dum Biryani Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Parking is unavailable

I really wanted to eat Indian food, so I was super excited to try this restaurant- which made this experience even more disappointing. I asked about the Goat Dum Biryani before ordering but they never mentioned that it is White rice mixed with Goat. When your order the biryani they mix it up right in front of you. You shouldn’t advertise something as biryani when it is not biryani. The other curry I ordered also did not taste good either. Service was good though.

This was a dinner from hell. Made reservations for 6:30pm. I arrived five minutes early, was seated promptly by the door, and placed my order; bainghan bharta, aloo gobi, and a garlic naan. I had to repeat myself a few times to the waiter because the music was too loud. While waiting for the food, people kept coming in and out letting in wind gusts into the restaurant. This includes diners, take out people, and waiters taking food to the outdoor dining. This became annoying after a few minutes and I slowly realized that there was no heat in the restaurant. I was shivering in my coat the whole time while waiting for the food. Even the servers were wearing jackets. And I waited. One of the waiters said the food was coming. Fifteen minutes went by. They said the food was coming again. I was thinking I should probably leave and eat outside at a Momo truck, but I continued to wait. See the picture of my empty plate. The food finally came, 50 minutes after sitting down. It was very uncomfortable eating in my jacket, huddled over my food like a hobo over a dumpster fire. The breeze blew in from the outside and sent chills down my spine, making it hard to eat. I ate as much as I could and took my food to go. The bainghan bharta had a good spice to it. The aloo gobi was undercooked; the cauliflower was still raw, was watery, and didn't have a lot of flavor. The naan had a good garlic flavor but was too thin. Overall, the food was not worth the money. Each dish was $17 and the naan $5. Jackson diner, a block away has a better atmosphere and value at $14 for the same dishes. If you're adventurous head to Tandoor at the Rego Park Station on the R, and you can get the same dishes for $12 in a nicer atmosphere. Or get off at Queens Plaza and head to Raj's in LIC for the same value. Unfortunately, Angel is a demon in disguise. This restaurant's kitchen cannot handle the volume of customers they have. I recommend they get rid of their outdoor seating or stop taking take out orders to accommodate the volume of customers coming here. They also don't need five servers for such a small space. There are only six tables inside. Avoid if you can.
