Pushy waitress, food wasn't that impressive. The soup was good though.

Angeline is an adorable nook tucked away in the French Quarter on Chartres. It is rather small and quaint in size, but the flavors are BIG and incredible. We went for Sunday brunch, and had a bit of wait even though we made a reservation and the place wasn't packed. Overall, the service left something to be desired but the food was so fantastic that I am STILL giving it five stars. We had the fried pickles with buttermilk ranch (these were wonderful - I believe the pickles are house made, and the only thing I would change would be to have a creamier and thicker buttermilk ranch), the strawberry donuts with a lemon verbena glaze (these were super yummy - could have done withou the strawberry and would have liked to see blueberry maybe to go with the lemon...?), the pork belly and fried green tomato sandwich (this was AMAZING), and the fried chicken and biscuits (this was very good, but I admit that I expected it to be a bit better - more savory maybe?). However, even with minor hiccups, this was the best place that we ate in New Orleans. If you are in NOLA, definitely go here. Definitely.
