Delicious cinnamon rolls not pictured. Went here on a date and we each got different eggs Benedict dishes. Super delicious. I've also ordered their French toast and a breakfast burrito from here in the past. I've liked everything I've had from here so far. It was very busy on Sunday not sure how it is during other days.
This is a fun, different experience in Swedish comfort food. Their restaurants have a philosophy of "good food, good friends and good conversation" and you feel it. The staff is super friendly and patient. They must explain the same things a billion times a day to tourists, but it always seems like the first time. The decor is beautiful and homey. And the food. Oh the food! If you're adventurous, I'd recommend the Swedish sampler. One Swedish pancake, Swedish meatball, Swedish potato sausage and an egg. It's a nice sampling of ethnic cuisine and it also comes with 2 sides. You can get 2 of the world-famous cinnamon rolls and have one to share or take home. So long as you're going for a cultural experience, have the hot Swedish coffee. A tall glass of coffee with nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon and topped with whipped cream, this concoction is as sweet as the people who serve you. Certainly not for diabetics but definitely calms those sweet tooth cravings. Hubs had the Monte Cristo and said it was "effing amazing"- not heavy like they can be. Just perfect. And he said the regular coffee was quite excellent too. Our super picky kid was happy with the normal breakfast fare and the adventurous kid enjoyed the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry. The restaurant also offers their pancake mix and jars of lingonberry so if you're not local, you can enjoy some of the experience at home.
Hubby is half Swedish so we ended up here for his birthday brunch. The restaurant was packed when we got there but the wait was only 15 minutes - much better than other popular brunch places on Sundays. We're not really cinnamon roll people but the hot biscuits are amazing! Hubby's crab cakes had a bit of kick to it which we liked. I chose two eggs with Swedish potato sausages just to try it- the texture was interesting and I liked it. We also got one pancake as a side and loved the lingonberry jam. Somebody ordered veggie Benedict at the next table and it looked really good with tons of veggies. Overall really pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!
