We went to the one on Clark St, it’s tough to find since there is no signage on the street but map the address and it will take you to an unassuming office building. Once inside there is an amazing food court on the main level. The food was absolutely delicious, but the noise level was ridiculous. So loud you can’t hear yourself think. I would get mine to go next time!
What great tacos! The tacos are made using house tortillas. I had two tacos along with the fresh house juice. And I was not disappointed. Potato and Poblano is my favorite taco! I will be ordering it next time for sure! The Market Mushroom taco was my second pick. I did not like the taste as much as the Potato and Poblano. The location was neat and well organized and the vibes are hip as well.
Very pleasantly surprised by Antique Taco. For starters, I expected this to be one of those expensive Mexican places seen as a hallmark of gentrification, but fear not: Antique Taco is somewhat pricy, but they have a note on their menu saying they're owned by women of color, and seems like they have very good business practices (good for the community, environment, etc.). It's a cute little restaurant. You order at a counter, get a cloth napkin and water in a little mini mason jar, and take a seat, and they bring it out to you. We got chips and salsa to split, and it was pretty good. Their salsa has a nice kick to it. I had three pork carnitas tacos, and they were quite yummy. They come with bacon, avocado, onion, and cheese...everything blends together very nicely, and the meat is super flavorful and not at all dry. I would definitely return if I was in this part of Chicago again. It's a great place to hang out for the evening for sure.
