I walked in and they told me it was "friends only day" as they laughed in my face. If that's true, turn off your "open" sign, and lock the door. This is what I get for trying to support my community.
This is not your average bar. This may be a typical bar in Korea. The bartenders or servers will socialize with you if you want. They will leave you alone if they get the vibe that you would rather be alone. This is a walking distance from my house and I have stopped in over the years for a couple of beers after work before going home. They have karaoke which I find a little annoying because most people who sing are old Korean dudes who can't sing. So why four stars? For me, this place suits my needs on occasions. When I just want a couple of beers but don't want to deal with finding friends who can't go out with you because they have crying children and upset wives, this place works for me. Sells beers, walking distance from home, pretty ladies that will chat with you. By the way, they allow smoking here, but cigarette smoke does not seem to be overpowering, as I am a non-smoker. They do have two TV's but one is occupied by karaoke stuff and the other whatever you ask to be tuned to.
