I’ve been wanting to visit this Thai spot since I often walk by it but it’s only open during dinner time. Today I finally had a chance to grab a meal there with my friend and I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Our server was very sweet and gave us great suggestions for entrees! We chose the khao soi (curry noodles) with chicken, which was recommended to us and the 12 hour slow braised pork as our main dishes. While waiting for our meal, we noted that the restaurant had some cute decor, from the variety of different plants to the strings lights strung above the bar, the aesthetic of this place was vibrant yet cozy. When we were served our dinner, we were engulfed by the mouthwatering smell of curry. The noodles were generously coated with curry, chicken, and veggies. We absolutely loved the dish and devoured it right after pictures were taken. The braised pork was also delicious, the sauces that were mixed in brought a surprising amount of heat that balanced the meat well. The pork was tender and melted in your mouth and the veggies that accompanied the protein had a nice sour flavor with a spicy aftertaste. My friend and I absolutely loved both dishes and we both are definitely coming back again to try out the other dishes that were recommended. Food and drinks were really delicious but service left much to be desired. The gentleman who seated us was very gracious and patient as we had a large group. Our server, however, seemed more interested in chatting with another table, rather than grabbing us our waters, extra rice, and desserts. Visited 4/7, ~8:00pm. Aroi Mak Mak has great and fresh tasting Thai food. I'm not exactly a connoisseur of Thai, but I do love Thai food from time to time and this place is the best in Redlands for sure. The ambience is very cute, and Instagram-able. They also have unique cocktails. Only drawback is that the service tends to be a little slow and not super attentive. But they are friendly. Go for the green curry with chicken.
