As someone who has been in the service industry I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Artisan bistro. I have come in many times over the years but as of recently service has been a lot more disappointing. The server with the pink hair was supposed to be our sever but the other staff were the only actually people who checked in with us, quality checked us , cleared our plates and took the payment for our table. I have come in many times when it was very busy like on a weekend brunch and this same sever is always sitting down on her phone seemingly refusing to help when the other staff members are clearly struggling. This baffles me because I have heard her introduce herself as managment more than once. On my most recent visit I have heard her use inappropriate language such as swear words openly while in the middle of table service. As I was with my kids I was quite surprised a manager would do such a thing. She was unfriendly and seemed irradiated that she had to take our order. I normally would not have said anything but as I have now noticed this multiple times and being someone who works in the service industry and knows how a restaurant should be run, this in unacceptable and unprofessional. Overall, my food is always excellent and well flavoured. My favourite is the huevos benny. All the other staff were lovley and provided great service in past vists. When I have had other servers, I notice a clear difference in professionalism, attention and attitude. It is clear that a change in management is nessecary. It would be a shame for one person to ruin an overall lovely little restaurant. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
