When I planning a trip to Paris, Carbonis was first on the list where I would like to have dinner. All my expectations came true. The atmosphere is cozy, the waiters are very attentive. I really recommend having dinner there. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Buzzing restaurant, lovely ambiance and unfussy interiors. (Would agree with other reviews that it was quite hot and stuffy indoors albeit dining in late summer). Waitstaff very friendly yet equally forgetful -- various items took up to 3 asks to arrive and that didn't feel commensurate with their gregarious personas. Carboni's is not related to the similarly named of New York & Hong Kong and that would have been made clear even if we had not asked over the course of our dinner :) Wildly different portion sizes for the price even adjusting for the progression of a meal: our antipasti vitello tonnato was nice but a sad little heap of a thing on a bread plate with a dollop of sauce (EUR16) (the burrata in oil from the snacks menu was delicious (~EUR16)); Le Raviolo (the pasta dish ordered to share) was literally that -- one round ravioli in a broth (EUR26). Caving in after our first secondi (pulpe grillé, very nice. EUR25) and deciding to order a second, the veal milanaise surprised us with a full serving platter portion with heavy breading and an extra plate for the accompaniment (EUR39). Nice wines and cocktails and water for the table came in magnum+ sized bottles which was a fun and convenient touch. Would go back for the great location in Marais and group vibes but perhaps order differently...
