Quite possibly the best pork chop I’ve ever eaten. My husbands French onion soup and wedge salad were also delightful. Great service, great food, great atmosphere.

Following a day hiking Zion National Park, we were welcomed to Balcony One, the artistically eclectic interior of which rivaled the beauty of the park itself. Seated at a table for four on the intimate raised stage area, we overlooked the restaurant and marveled at the attentiveness of the truly wonderful waitstaff overseen by the owners George and wife Cindy, whose paintings populated the walls with beautifully rendered nature scenes. George and Cindy were both very welcoming and took ample time to converse while we marveled at the delightful plates being served around us.Our waiter Ezra took great care to explain menu items and make recommendations which we accepted to our great pleasure. On a whim I sampled an Old Fashion mixed drink undiluted by the soda common for us in the Midwest. The bitters and fruit blended with Irish Whiskey were cooled and over time slightly diluted by a single large ice cube making this the most complex, potent, and enjoyable sipping cocktail of my life- lasting the course of the meal.My wife and I shared a bowl of Baked French Onion Soup topped by lightly broiled cheese melting over a puff pastry crust. It was a good thing we shared as the accompanying salads and warm rolls were sufficient satisfaction before we received our entrees. I was presented with an abundant plate of Linguine in a rich lobster sauce populated by large, perfectly seared scallops and shrimp while my wife and daughter-in-law savored their tender marinated pork chops surrounded by grilled Brussel sprouts. Conversation waned as our son attended to his tender ribeye steak and we thoroughly enjoyed our main course. Throughout, Ezra and a host of waitstaff cheerfully anticipated our every need before we knew ourselves even to the point of presenting a platter of desserts completely unnecessary as we were all content. But the cheesecake, tiramisu, and …is that Baklava? We surrendered and were happy to have done so.Rising from our meal we walked through the softly lit and comfortable bar, where we look forward to a relaxing drink on a return trip, then out to the veranda, an enclosed outdoor area studded with tables and open to the star-lit night sky- beautiful. We recommend Balcony One as a destination restaurant that you will long remember as a highlight of any trip.
