Bar Marrakech is an authentic Moroccan restaurant within walking distance of the main beach in Tarifa, Spain. Although its name says 'Bar', it is actually a restaurant that serves delicious specialities such as tajines, couscous, harira soup and mint teas, in addition to some fish dishes and desserts.A Moroccan friend who lives and works in Tarifa says that the place is very good, so give it a try. You most likely won't be disappointed, and if you don't have time to take the FRS ferry to Tangier, just across the Strait of Gibraltar in less than an hour, this place is the next best thing to actually being in Morocco. At Bar Marrakech, there is an outside covered seating area but inside it looks more like you are actually in Morocco. The restaurant closes for a month or two during the winter months, as do many other businesses in the charming town of Tarifa, the southernmost place in Spain and Continental Europe, and also Europe's windsurfing capital which is very popular with young people during the warmer months.
