The waiters are very pleasant and quick. Great table service. However, around 10pm, we were asked if we had purchased a wristband for the all you can drink night. It was 20$ and we had already spent around 45$ on drinks from the hour we had already spent there. We asked if it was okay if we did not purchase the all you can drink wristband and just continue to buy drinks at regular price. We were then promptly asked to leave and followed by security downstairs. Not a single one of us was drunk, rude, or belligerent in the slightest so I don’t really understand the reasoning behind that. Whenever we go out, we are always extremely courteous of everyone around us as we know they are just doing their jobs and are probably constantly bombarded with disrespectful drunk people every night. But telling us to leave because we don’t want to pay 65$+ for drinks is bonkers. Demanding every patron that night participate in a promo is strange. Anyways, The DJ was wearing sweatpants, but at least he was playing some Enrique Iglesias. The bartenders look like they don’t want to be there but they kind of always look like that. Looking at the reviews and the owners responses it is evident this establishment is not run very well, or at least by someone with maturity. Shoutout to the people that work here that are actually very kind and proactive. Regardless, Backyard has let us down majorly tonight. Visit Bread and Circuses bistro and bar down the street! Super sweet people and great service! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Fried Pickles

Must’ve been my worst bar experience;I went there to meet up with some friends and was told at the entrance that its 20$ for all you can drink, I told her I wasn’t interested in doing that since I’m not big on drinking but she said it wasn’t optional. Paid 22$ after tax and then ordered a drink composing of vodka and lemon juice at the bar, and was asked if I wanted to open a tab. I showed her my wristband and was told that all you can drink starts at 10 pm (it was 9:40, and they were also charging people downstairs for them since I came in at around 9:15) and was also told that it only applies to “rail drinks” (which mine was). At 10 pm, they came up to my group who was there earlier, and was asked if we all had wristbands and some of them didn’t since they were here before they started charging. The bouncer told them they had to pay the cover fee or we had to leave, so we left. I ended up paying essentially 34$ in total for a crush. Edit: it’s obvious from the owner’s responses to previous comments and this one as well that they definitely do not care about upholding a positive reputation. I’m confused about what exactly? I was charged for a service I did not receive and was still made to pay for a drink at the bar despite it being “all you can drink”. Don’t offer something if you can’t fulfill it Price per person: $30–50

Having an event from 10pm to 1pm about 4 times per year. Super fantastic deal. But everyone in the building needs to participate. No one made you participate. Sorry you were confused.

Our HS boy's lacrosse team were in town for a tournament and we had a team dinner of almost 40 people at Barley's Backyard Uptown. The staff were amazing and very accommodating! There was a little mix-up about the reservation time, but it was quickly resolved. The servers were attentive and the food was very good and arrived quickly, especially considering the size of our party. We had a corner of the rooftop space and it was a great spot to enjoy the beautiful weather. This is the second time our team has enjoyed dinner here and we would definitely come back again!
