How often does one find a local mom n pop joint that has been operating using local flavors and provide personal culture to their menus? Barrio Barista certainly did that for many years and hope they continue doing so. The Horchata latte was flavorful served cold with almond milk just the way the owner, Gilbert, recommended. Gilbert is detail oriented, yet, personable. The barista is full of paintings done by local artists. Unfortunately, it was late for me to try their food menu as they were closing soon shortly after I arrived. Gilbert expressed his knowledge using local freshest ingredients on his food menu items. A definite must try if you're in San Antonio and do try to join them for breakfast or early lunch. Local flavors served by local friendly owner and staff. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
