My lovely friend and I ventured to the 'burbs a few weeks ago to meet some peeps.  We had some time to kill, so we wound up at Beerhead Bar & Eatery in downtown Elmhurst located just north of the Elmhurst Metra station.  The place seemed to have a good vibe on a Saturday evening, busy but not overly crowded.  An unplugged duo (singer and guitarist) was entertaining the patrons on this particular night. The beer selection was quite impressive, and it was fun to sit at the bar staring at all the eye candy presented by the various beer bottles, cans, taps, glasses. You can get smaller "flight" sized pours so you can try a selection of their brews.  We split a pulled pork sandwich, served on ciabatta bread and topped with cole slaw and accompanied with a side of potato salad.  We also ordered a massive beer nacho plate with various toppings such as bean chili. Everything was good but not overwhelmingly delicious.  I think the potato salad was the best food item I tried that day.  We also witnessed a gigantic pretzel at a nearby table, so I guess Beerhead likes to serve big items. I hear the pizza is good here. I'd come back to Beerhead to have some more beer if in the area.
