Fish (Cuban panko) and fries were awful, overcooked fish. The baby octopus was good. Condiments were good. Service was typical for the area but friendly enough.
Simply delicious. Great service, great food and nice beers. If you are up for a quick lunch this is definitely a very good choice. They have good beers too.
Fish and chips craving? Bia Mara's got you covered! Popularity plus small restaurant means not much seating during peak meal hours. If the weather is good, there are some outdoor seating options. Unfortunately, it was quite cold when we visited Brussels, but since the inside was packed with people already, we sat outside anyway. It definitely made us eat faster. Fish. We got an order of fish and chips with garlic truffle sauce. The fish was crispy on the outside and piping hot and moist on the inside. (Good news for us since each breeze that blew chilled us and made us want the hot fish even more.) It definitely didn't seem like a traditional beer-battered fish. The breading was thinner and crunchier. Nevertheless, still tasty. Chips. These chips are small wedges of potatoes and perfect for filling you up. Definitely plenty to share. The best fish and chips ever? I don't think so, but it's definitely worth a stop if the craving hits!
