Overall food was okay. Not super impressed. There’s a flavor with the Kung pao chicken I didn’t like (I think too much ginger) but aside from that I was okay eating It.Vietnamese coffee was not the best and I always look forward to having some — just was not what I expected. Also! They charge for rice even if you don’t ask for It, they just brought It out with my entree. I assumed my entree came with rice, but the bill states the charge for rice. Too bad.
Cute Szechuan place tucked away in Williamsburg! Friendly staff and a great place to catch up with a friend. We got the braised whole fish in chili sauce and an order of the soup dumplings. I liked the soup dumplings because the skin wasn't too thick. The fish was perfect for two and wasn't a crazy level of spicy. It was great to pick at over the course of dinner and paired well with some white rice.
I guess the first really cool (or not so cool for some people) thing is the set up of the restaurant. I like how they have the really long table in the middle. It makes it feel communal and they also have private spaces as well. The food was pretty good ! Definitely get the fried eggplant entree’, it’s delicious! Enjoyed everything we ordered. Went there two Sundays in row! What I did notice was that the employees are all young!
