5th time but service has gone down, and favourite shrimp dish removed from menu. Original tastings replaced with fried options.Sashami entree was excellent and sea bass was delicious, but at this price point it’s disappointing that they don’t clean our whole fish before serving. Ceviche was flavourful and nice size portion. Octopus was original, but we had to choose blindly because waitress couldn’t describe sauce even after going g back a second time to kitchen. Overall disappointing instead of highlight it used to be. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$100+ Recommended dishes: Tuna Tartare

Delicious food, but service needs improvement We had dinner at Restaurant Olynicks and the food was truly excellent. The Escargots gratinés are a must—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The $1 oysters were fresh and delicious. The Assiette de pieuvre grillée was ideal for sharing if we had known in advance, we would have split it! Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. We waited 25–30 minutes before our server greeted us, and the oysters were brought out at the same time as our entrées. Then we waited another 35–45 minutes for our main courses. This seemed like poor coordination from the server—the oysters should have been served first, followed by the entrées and then the mains. The kitchen did a fantastic job; the issue was with how the meal was paced by the server. We’d definitely return for the food, but we hope for a smoother service experience next time.
