we arrived less than one hour before closing time, service personal (actually it was the owner herself) was very nice and attentive. we ordered a la carte, tom yam soup, chinese dumplings (shrimps and cabbage filling), gong bao duck (with garlic, peanuts, hoisin sauce) and stir fried beef (with garlic, koriander, oyster sauce). The soup and dumplings we ate at the restaurant (which is a great open space with kiddies corner, light pastel colours, very pleasant atmosphere), the rest we took to go since we got there so close before closing time. The owner was so so nice, offering us to still stay after closing time, she said she would stay that time, but we declined that offer of hers. She came and checked with us, that everything was to our liking, and it definitely was! As she heard that it was my partners birthday, she said that she will give desserts, on the house! The tom yam soup was delicious! Light and mild spiced broth, filled with shrimps, chopped mushrooms and herbs. The dumplings were superb, right amount of filling with shrimps and cabbage, the dough tasty, the dipping sauce just right amount of vinegar and garlic. The gong bao duck and the stir fried beef were fried perfectly, rich in flavor and tender to eat. both dishes come with stir fried vegetables (very well balanced in amount of used veggies) and the sauces were just delicious. Rice comes as side. As dessert we chose fried banana with ice-cream, a classic dessert we all know, but this one just blew us away! It was delicious! fried to perfection, the cracking sound on that fried banana, the balance of that honey sauce... superb!

One of the waiters at Kina Thai in ryd is really disgusting. I was there having lunch, actually it's buffet. When I finished I was going to put my plates to the shelf. Then a middle-aged waitress (I say middle-aged because for me the waitress is not that old to be called old lady) came over and took plates from me and puts it on the shelf. After that I picked up my stuff and planning to leave. When I about to get out of the restaurant, a waiter came over and says" why can't you put plates on shelf by yourself, don't you feeling shame to letting an old lady collect plates for you?" and the language he used is Chinese!!!! WTF? Yes, i am a Chinese. But what does he meant by that? I'm not the one who called waitress to collect plates for me, she took plates from me! And if he thinks he is quite nobleness, why does not he take over the job of collecting plates and let that waitress do his job? He definitely a racist, and this is the first time i meet a racist in Sweden, is was really sick.
