It can't be good anymore. Fantastic!
After a long day of transport from Venice to CDG and finally the center of Paris,I was ready to get out and explore by foot the 5eme. Around 5:30 I was feeling rather hungry and I started to look into Brasserie style restaurants along the quai and Blvd St Germaine. Most seemed very touristy or were not open for meal service yet. Happily, after 5 or 6 rejections, I happened on Le Bistro du Périgord. I selected the 40 Euro menu and chose the Salade du Chèvre Chaude and the Steak au Poivre. with the desert sampler and cafe at the end. The service was prompt and courteous. Never did I imagine that the dishes that came out from the kitchen would be presented with such artistry and care. Every morsel was fresh and a delightful.  This restaurant is not filled with pretense and attitude. The interior is quite simple but the chef is amazing and adept at creating delicious, large and elegant dishes. I would definitely return if given the opportunity and would highly recommend it.
Wow! This place was AMAZING! Small little bistro with incredible food and wine. This was one of the best meals we had in Paris
