Have been fan of The Bistrot du Coin for 12 years. The quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. My review concerns their pricing. The new menu tells you a 5% surcharge will be added to your check to cover higher costs while keeping prices the same. Problem is the prices have increased and now a 20% tip is automatically added to your bill! Now my bill had 2 bottles of wine. As everyone knows restaurants mark up a bottle of wine 100%, or more, already. So why am I paying an additional 5% +20% on my wine order? Bistrot, please, that is not right. And assuming I will always want to tip 20% takes my assessment of good service away from me and gives the wait service a tip they may not deserve because of doing a poor job. My suggestion is to review your billing and see how unfair your current policy is. Thanks.
