This steakhouse provides you with nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around James Craig Tall Ship. If you want to try Australian dishes, get your chance and come to Black. Tasty wagyu steaks, duck breast and beef tartare will impress you at the first bite. Nothing can be better than tasting good crème brûlée, lemon pie and brioches. Most likely, you'll return to this place later to order delicious Pinot noir wine, champagne or beer. This place is known for great hot chocolate, chocolate frappe or tea.

Visit this spot to celebrate an anniversary, wedding or a birthday party. The atmosphere of hospitality of this steakhouse highly depends on the waitstaff, that is attentive here. There is a cool ambiance and fancy decor at Black. 4.5 is how users rate this place on Zomato.

Good food at the star for pre theatre menu. Great service and fast. All the non steak options we ordered was yummy.
It's expensive and steak is ok.
Have been dining here for years now - I love this restaurant. Really nice ambience especially for a date night and service is always amazing.

For cold seafood - I love the oysters and hiramasa kingfish
Scallop entree is also delicious

For mains I usually order David Blackmore Fullblood Wagyu MBS9+. The wagyu tasting works out to be a bit better value for money ($195 for 600g) and is great to share as you get to try the flat iron, skirt and flank but if you're just going for 1 cut I would definitely recommend the flat iron ($86 for 200g)

As for their sides, I love them all!! It is a choice of 3 for $30. My personal favourites are the potato puree, chips, mac & cheese and mushroom ragout

I'm not a huge fan of the desserts here. I've tried their signature Chocolate dessert which looks good for an Instagram video but doesn't taste amazing. Didn't really enjoy their strawberry souffle either. The creme brulee was nice but I don't really think you can go wrong with creme brulee anywhere

Overall one of my favourite restaurants to dine in Sydney
