I came here a couple of days ago and bought a morning glory muffin and a white chocolate with raspberry croissant.I also bought a piece of red velvet cake for my husband's 99 year old aunt who has a sweet tooth. His aunt loved the cake and kept saying that it was good!!The morning glory muffin was huge and so full of yummy ingredients like walnuts...the croissant was also delicious!!I think that I have found the very best bakery in Vancouver!!The secret is out!!!!

It’s been a number of years since we last visited Black Rook Bakehouse. Located on East Hastings Street in Vancouver, I’ve always been impressed with their savory pies and sweet cakes.Unfortunately, on this past visit in August, they were all sold out of savory pies Instead, we took home a Lemon Berry Muffin and a slice of Chester’s Cheesecake, which is a mix between carrot cake and cheesecake. Layers of carrot cake made with rum-soaked apricots, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds sandwich a layer of New York cheesecake and the whole thing is topped with cream cheese icing.Wish we lived a bit closer so we could drop by more often.
