After a long walk around Old State House, visit this cafe and have a rest here. You can always degust tasty egg sandwiches, causa and bacon at Blue State Coffee. Try perfectly cooked bagels, doughnuts and biscuits. Get your meal started with good cider. Guests visit this place to drink great espresso, iced latte or cappuccino.

The coffee was good but was not quite what I expected. The staff were nice and the shop itself was fine. There were less options than I anticipated, and the coffee was expensive for what you received.

Fantastic coffee shop. The coffee beans are wonderful and they made a great gift while visiting. I’ve made some of the best single-origin pour overs and espresso with their Ethiopian beans and can’t be happier. Will need to stock up on these soon! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10

Went there for breakfast in downtown Hartford and the hipster baristas acted like they were doing me a favor. Service was sloooooow. We sat outside and someone from our 6 person party had to keep going in to pick up our order. I asked the cashier if he could text me when the order was ready but he snootily replied " We don't do that." Know what I don't do ? Patronize Blue State Coffee. Needless to say the food was not worth the price or waiting for. I wish I had gone to Dunkin' across the street instead.
