You can come to this bar after seeing Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert. Here you can taste the Chinese cuisine. The cooks here prepare good coconut shrimps, seafood and tacos. Some guests like delicious martinis, wine or Mai tai at Bobby Mao. This place is known for great lemonade. Clients don't highly appreciate flija at this place.
Select between indoor and outdoor seating. The cute staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Cool service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this spot. Prices are found affordable here. At this bar, people can enjoy the homey atmosphere and terrific decor. Both food and service made favorable impressions on Facebook users, and Bobby Mao got the 4.4 star rating there.

I just heard the news that Bobby Mao's has called it quits here in Palm Desert. It's my understanding that they've relocated to Vegas (Henderson) at the Galleria on Sunset. I wish Tina and Bobby all the best with their new "baby". They'll definitely have a better chance with such a busy mall as compared to our sleepy Westfield. On a candid note, I'm not entirely surprised that Mao's called it quits. Sadly, as of late, the restaurant was usually very quiet with few customers. Summers are unkind to many restaurants here. Since their opening in 2014, I experienced a slow decline in the food flavor/quality. My last meal there on a Friday in early October was truly a disappointment at best. I used to make Bobby's my "go to" for drinks and patio fun. I'm gonna miss it. The servers have consistently been kind and attentive; some have been exceptionally entertaining or hospitable. The prices weren't bad provided the fare was worthy and it had been until...? The beautiful decor dazzled my senses especially on those evenings with the open-air bar-to-patio and moon view. The music was hip and in trend with their ambience. Bobby and Tina have always been friendly to me and my guests over the years. I'm sad to realize they're not going to be a part of my dining life anymore. Best wishes to Bobby Maos in Vegas...I'll tell my family there to pay you a visit and maybe I'll swing by next time I'm in town?

Tonight, Friday 09/14, I had a wonderful meal at Bobby Mao's! Our server, Michael, is completely amazing. So funny and so attentive and attractive! I will come back just for Michael!!

Tried the BQ pork crispy tacos (way too sweet) and the mongolian beef sliders (more bun than meat -- not a good way to enjoy mongolian beef -- and even it tasted sweet). Not recommended.
