They love is really nice , servers are very informative and treat you special. Noise level is low even seeing people having a good time . Drinks were great, I'm an old fashioned drinker and they're on point. The only issue we had was our steaks were not flavorful. I took my husband for his bday and unfortunately I know my steaks and was bummed out from all the hype we hear. Some friends have mentioned it's a hit and miss, but I would never spend $350 on a hit and miss restaurant. My steaks are better at salt grass mostly every time . Don't waste you're money! The only thing memorable was the celebration, service and drinks! Ohhhh and that carrot could've been cooked a little longer , we needed a steak knife to just cut it.

Went to try Bob's Steak & Chop House after passing by it numerous of times. Went on a weekday and was determined to stick to the Ribeye steak even though the choices from their menu was really giving it some competition. Christian (spelling) was our server and he was amazing. For the price you will pay for your meal, he really made sure our experience was the very best. He was personable, knowledgeable, and just overall friendly. We enjoyed just chatting with him for a bit and getting his input on preferred drinks for our meal. I took up his recommendation of the Infused Old Fashioned and I will encourage any whiskey drinkers to give it a try. It was stronger than most of the Old Fashioned I have had from other restaurants but it was very smooth. Now when he brought our steaks out (ordered Medium Rare) it was a little on the lower end of Medium Rare. The middle almost looked Rare but I wasn't going to send it back. Very chewy and the chef seared the seasoning a little more than anticipated but still good flavor. The ambiance, service, and the sides was deserving of 5 stars but, if I am going to pay the upscale price, I expect the main dish (steak) to be made better than the other "non-upscale" restaurants. It wasn't horrible. It just didn't meet the expectation I had. Back to our server, he made sure he often checked in on us but wasn't to the point of being bothersome. We were celebrating a birthday and he not only brought out an amazing dessert (peanut butter pecan brownie with ice cream on top) but he showed me a happy birthday card that was signed by the staff. It set the bar of what top-notch service is.

I would like to start out by saying we are a huge fan of the Bob's location in Austin and eat there frequently and have never had one issue. Unfortunately, we did not receive the same service at the Bob's in San Antonio. We had a large party in the private event room that had a high minimum we had to meet that was planned in advance. Upon arrival, we realized we were 2 seats short and asked if we could add the 2 chairs to the group and the manager immediately got upset and accused us of "being too intoxicated to understand what he was saying" (which we were not) and was angry that we wanted to add the 2 chairs. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 17 years and have never witnessed a manager be so rude and unprofessional with guests for no reason. As a manager in the customer service industry at a fine dining establishment, you would think they would be happy to have 2 additional paying guests and be happy to accommodate a simple request. When we told the manager we were going to leave because we didn't want to be spoken to like that, he said, "that would be a great idea. You should leave." We ended up leaving immediately and missed out on our friends birthday dinner that we came from out of town to attend. Very poor representation of the Bob's brand and horrific customer service and leadership skills set forth by that manager. What a shame, would leave zero stars if I could.
