I was there for a Xmas party. I believe everything my table ordered was mass produced or frozen. The service was poor. Our meal took around 2 hours to come out and the serving staff seldom checked on us. In 2 hours no one at our table got more than 2 drinks (including water). They offered a free dessert to go to offset the pour service. 2 of the 3 desserts weren’t even what we asked for. I won’t be going back. Price per person: $70–80 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

This place is my 100% go to place for dinner in Waterloo. The food, drink and vibes are more than amazing. The shiitake mushroom and brussel sprouts are surprisingly tasty, definitely recommend. For main course we sometimes get the flank steak or pesto and burrata, those are pretty good as well. I also got the white lotus recommended by our server and it’s great. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Complimentary Bread and Herb Butter, White Lotus

Bodega Rose -- a very pleasant surprise and definitely on the list of go-to places for future date nights. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was attentive and timely. The decor and ambience are very well done with high attention to detail. Booths or perhaps some high back chairs might enhance intimate dining but the space is certainly not crammed. Drinks and food: The cocktails were excellent. We ordered two appetizers, a side, and a main for a tapas style meal. Each was very good and the jerk chicken skillet was stellar. Highly recommend and will be back again. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
