What a delicious meal! There were 2 of us coming and we were lucky enough to be placed in a quiet place. The place is spacious, warm and lively during peak hours. We took a starter, main course and dessert formula (25 euros) as well as a drink. My fizzberry drink (pictured) was delicious, full of slightly sweet taste with the fruit puree making it very refreshing. The unique starter of asparagus and watercress velouté was delicious, a perfect introduction. The dishes were as good as they were plentiful with subtle and well-crafted flavors, the products were all fresh and of high quality. To finish, the dessert was perfect, as beautiful as it was delicious. We left delighted with this experience and we will come back. The quality/price ratio, the work of the products and the atmosphere of the place are worth the detour. Vegetarian options: A real dish on the menu is necessarily vegetarian. Lovely cozy but spacious spot in the heart of Bordeaux. The perfect place, as the name suggests, to snuggle away with a book and a good coffee (or a hot chocolate and brownie ;-)). But equally amazing for a sunny lunch out on the small terrace (be prepared to wait for a table when the weather gets hot). The simple menu offers something for everyone in my opinion, whether you're hungover and looking for something grassy and hearty, or want to dive into a health-conscious meal, Books & Coffee has it all.And not to go unmentioned - the delicious cakes and baked goods out for display - they are as good as they look. Great to take home too (especially considering the (over the top) added service fee on these products for in-house consumption). Why for 4 stars? No matter the hour of the day, service is always slow, so be prepared to wait a while for that delicious lunch or coffee.
