Beautiful atmosphere. Pretty good food, the Udon is amazing filled me up and friendly service. Would recommended.
Really disappointed. I read about this place online so decided to come here before heading to a show at The Wiltern. We ordered from the menu (not omakase) and the fish was NOT good quality. It was decent at best. The most frustrating part was the prices. I'm always happy to spend good money on good sushi, but this was priced way too high and the fish wasn't even good!!! All of the rolls (even the basic ones) fell in the $16-17 range. Basic spicy tuna on crispy rice was $16. I've had this dish at nice places and it's way less!!!! While the sushi chef was nice, I was very disappointed. Not worth your time or money.
If I could give 10 stars I would. This is hands down the best sushi I have ever had, and I've frequented many places in LA. If you love genuine sushi and sashimi this place is the real deal. I visited on a quiet night and sat at the bar. The Itamae took very good care of us and surprised us with cuts of fish I would never find in a typical sushi spot, or even a high end Japanese restaurant. He took pride in his craft and explained how he chose each fish at the market and why... in addition he explained exactly why some fish were selected from different regions of the world. He explained each cut of fish and how it was cleaned and prepared. It was truly a delight. The fish was SO fresh and absolutely delicious. From snapper belly, halibut fin, ankimo, uni, to some rare piece of tuna cut that looked like wagu beef. Not only was the fish of the highest grade, the experience was top notch as well. It
