I always have loved Booth One. Sadly, I hear they are closing their doors this weekend. So I stopped by for Happy Hour for a final visit. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Dark & sexy. Arched doorways offer a nod to bygone days. Comfortable and easy to enjoy a cocktail. We tried the Tuna Tartare, Deviled Eggs and the Mediterranean Salad. I enjoyed the Rose' and my friend liked her Chardonnay. I was sooo disappointed in the bartender's attitude. Condescending and just plain rude. When I explained my friend enjoys a very dry white wine he snickered and said nothing is sweet here. When I asked about the salad with the beets and quinoa he looked at me like I was an idiot, corrected me and said, "That's called a Mediterranean Salad" and walked away. I wasn't sure - did I just order the salad or did he walk away to check on the menu. I had to call him over to finish my conversation and actually place my order. Boy I'm not sure if he's a surly and bitter bartender because he's losing his job or if he always offers service like a jerky brute. No matter what - there's no excuse. Sadly this is my last impression. Managers take note!
