Steak was perfect!!great place
It was a great place to eat and visit with staff whom were so friendly and very good at their job. We had Suzanna and loved her and her waiting on us.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best steakhouses in the OKC - metro area. Boulevard Steakhouse has monthly food and wine tasting dinners. Tonight I came for a wine tasting and wine class accompanied by amuse-bouches to accompany each wine. Tres chic! With the new liquor laws, more wines can come into the state. Albert Bichot wines are one of the winners. They are a French wine and we were able to sample three reds and three whites along with the amuse-bouches. First they brought us samples of the three reds. They explained that in France they start with the reds and go to the whites, because the whites have higher acidity and taste better after reds not the reds after the whites. I must say that my palate approved this reversal from the American perspective. They paired a lovely Pinot noir with grilled beef tartar on a piece of toasted brioche with raspberry purée. The raspberries caused the flavors to pop as the the wine. Next we had a Mercurey wine paired with smoked duck breast, cherry relish and arugula. This was to die for. By the way, Mercurey is a region in France. As you know, in France the region where the grapes are grown, not the grapes themselves, determine what the wine is called. With the reds there was a lovely wild mushroom salad with pickled blueberries. These unique mushrooms have always been something I steered clear of, but I will be adding them to my future epicurean adventures. With the whites we had three amuse-bouches. The first was a smoked salmon and Creme fraiche with a herb pistou, The Creme fraiche we're delicate little flower-shaped dots on my plate, next to gorgeous smoked salmon. Then there was a crab salad with a peach emulsion served with an apple chip. Oh my. The crab was real crab, not imitation and the apple crisp gave the creamy crab salad a lovely crisp taste. Finally, there was a lovely shrimp crostini with a vanilla citrus brute blanc. After our amuse-bouches, they gave us menus for either dessert or dinner and I ordered a fruit Napoleon. It was fresh and creamy. Yes, Boulevard Steakhouse is a bit pricey, but worth every penny.
