For an early birthday present the hubby decided to surprise me with a meal at Bourbon Steak. From the high traffic from Princess Lights, I guess we should have thought twice about going, but we decided to not let the crowd stop our adventure. We made a reservation for Sunday before Christmas. When we walked in there was no one else waiting and we were immediately greeted by the hostess. While looking up open tables the second hostess asked who's birthday was it and presented me with a card (really nice of the restaurant). We also were asked if we wanted to take a photo, while waiting. We snapped a picture and were taken inside. The restaurant was pretty busy but not over crowded. My husband is like 6'3 and for some odd reason we were placed in the smallest corner booth even thought there were plenty of other larger tables available and we made a reservation. Cramped leg and all we sat down. One of the managers came over after a few minutes and gave us some water and said our waiter would be there soon. After 10 minutes of being seated our waiter finally came to greet us. The waiter asked did we want any drinks, and I was kind of confused about their drink menu--it was a very basic cocktail menu with drinks like "an old fashion and a sour". Nothing that screamed try me. Our waiter did not make any specific recommendations and for anything I was considering I had to ask. We ended up just ordering our main course, I got a filet mignon and the mac and cheese and the hubby ordered a ribeye steak and Brussels sprouts. Then came the waiting game. Our waiter never came to check on us during the 35 minutes of waiting for our food, and we saw him multiple times making other stops at tables near us and RIGHT beside us! It was annoying I'm not sure if he thought he wasn't getting a good tip from us or what but we were totally disregarded while he constantly waited on and checked on other patrons. After waiting for so long I finally flagged down a manger and asked could we have an update on our order and explained why I was asking. A minute later another waiter came out with our food. My steak was good but my husband's was just meh to me, I think he enjoyed it though. My mac and cheese side was not good, and I indeed left it on the table. And the Brussels sprouts had good taste but seemed on the extra crispy side. Overall, the steak was good, but everything else was not that great-- the service being the worst. My husband apologized for the service which wasn't his fault. It's nice in here but we won't be back not with that service.
This one was tough.  The food itself was great.  No complaints on taste.  Very good.  The two big knocks against Bourbon Steak is the price and the service.  In regards to service, we really liked our waiter but it took 15 minutes just to get one assigned.  When the mgmt came by to get a quick drink order during that time, the drinks never showed up!  Regarding price...it's definitely resort pricing.  It's way high...too high unfortunately when compared with competing steakhouses in the area.  My wife ordered scallops and got 3 scallops slightly bigger than half dollars for a whopping $45.  Otherwise, the food itself was good and it hit the spot.  Next time I'd probably try out another place in town...but if you are looking to stay on property, it's good.
For the price was very disappointed. The scallops were tasty, but my friend who ordered the $38 chicken didn't eat much said it was tasteless.. I ended up with stomach cramps 30 minutes after eating.. They brought "complimentary" French fries prior to our meal being delivered.. You would think for an upscale restaurant French fries wouldn't be brought prior to the meal but a nice bread with olive oil or butter. So I contacted the manager as suggested.. I never heard back from him.. great service all the way around
