First, let me say that the pastries are excellent and everyone is incredibly friendly. We had both of the mini quiches (loved) and a London fog croissant that looked not great but tasted amazing. We had some sort of free form breakfast strata which was ok. The coffee was awful. I’m not exaggerating. Watery, no flavor, not quite right. We had both a drip coffee and a cortado, and neither resembled anything like they should have. Basically, come here for the pastries and baked goods, skip everything else. I love a good bakery. So this morning I went to try out Bread Craft in Downtown Roanoke for breakfast. I had heard many good things about it but I wanted to try it out for myself. I arrived at about 8:20am. As I entered I was impressed with the atmosphere of the place. It was nice and clean, modern looking with marble tables and wicker chairs and rustic as well with one wall of exposed red brick and framed photographs of local artists hanging from the wall. In the entrance there was a display case with greeting cards for sale as well as a shelf with small potery and handmade wood pens for sale. The combination of all these details gave the place a quaint look and relaxed feeling. When I finally reached the ordering counter there was a display case with some sweet danishes and next to it an area with some quiches and other hot pastries. My server  Alex approached me and after a friendly greeting showed me all the items available and took my order. I had a pepperoni quiche, a peach and almond Danish, and an iced Latte Mocha coffee. Everything was wonderful. The outside of the quiche and Danish was nice and crispy and the inside soft and tasty. Bread Craft truly created works of arts in all their bakery items. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is up to the best bakery items in town, with superb customer service, in a relaxing atmosphere. I will be back for sure.
