Visitors reserve a table for tasty meals here and enjoy the sights of Aguila Cultural Center. Mexican dishes are on the menu at this steakhouse. The hallmark of Salinas Brick House Cafe is serving good soup, fish and salads. It's nice to order great coffee.

The atmosphere of hospitality of this place highly depends on employees, that are cool here. This spot is famous for its cozy atmosphere. But google users rated this steakhouse and it didn't get a high rating.

I'm not normally one to post negative reviews on Yelp but after my recent experience at this restaurant I felt compelled to post a review.  I went to the Brick House Cafe yesterday for lunch.  There were five of us in our party.  To say that the service as well as the food was bad would be an understatement.  We had a different server bring us our drinks, then our appetizer, then our meal.  They all seemed completely confused and overwhelmed although there really weren't that many customers in the restaurant.  You would think with that many servers that the service would have been excellent!  The main focus seemed to be to take care of the customers at the bar. The food came out at all different times for everyone, again, brought to us by different servers, so those that ordered the street tacos were done eating before two of the rest of us had even gotten our food so when we finally asked the waitress, she responded "You never got your food?".  After another 20 minute wait the rest of the food arrived and while it looked fairly appetizing, the chicken was ice cold, the texture was like pressed meat and there was exactly one half of a greek olive in my Greek Chicken Salad. We ordered a margarita from the bar which was served to us in a glass that was basically a water glass.  When the server brought it to us she informed us that they "were out of sweet and sour so they used lemonade".  I have never had a margarita made with lemonade and it was horrible!  We ordered the margarita with Patron tequila as an upgrade and we couldn't taste anything but lemonade.  I think we should have been informed before the drinks were given to us about this so we could make another choice however we were just abruptly handed the margaritas.  Imagine my surprise when we got our bill and saw that we were charged $11.00 for a "lemonade margarita in a water glass"!  The young man who took our orders was very polite but obviously very new to the job and he did come to our table to apologize but then went on to say that it was the cooks fault that our order had arrived at all different times and that two of the meals had been completely forgotten.  I really was trying to find something good to say about our experience but I honestly can't think of one positive thing to say.  I believe the owners were seated in the restaurant and I believe the manager on duty was also aware that there were five very disappointed and unhappy customers but no one made any further effort to approach us to apologize, offer a discount, allow us to explain what our experience had been like, or anything else to try to turn a bad experience into a good one.  I had been looking forward to trying the Salinas Brick House Cafe for some time, but unfortunately after this first....and last experience, I regret that I am unable to give any positive feedback at all.
