A bit shocked to read the negative reviews as my experience was positive from start to finish. All signs are clear with easy to read print, older gentleman (who I assume is the owner) was the only one working and was with a drive-thru customer as I walked up. He came over and told me he’d be right with me. I agree he isn’t overly friendly but he’s pleasant enough. I ordered a cone for my son and got a free sample of ice cream for myself. I loved it, so I ordered a small cup as well. Yes it was almost $16 but the cost of things simply don’t surprise me anymore. Nice seating area to enjoy some ice cream on a lovely Monday evening. The shake I ordered was very good, but unfortunately, the service was less than desirable. I went there on a Sunday afternoon and stood at the window for a couple of minutes. No one came to help and since no one else was there, I thought maybe the place was closed even though the sign said open. I started to walk away when some other customers showed up and finally the window opened. The server just stood there and looked at everyone without saying anything, so I just went up and placed my order. He handed me the shake and did not say anything except what was needed to take my payment. I don't need service people to be super friendly, but for what things cost, plus making a tip part of the payment process, it would be nice if they were not unfriendly. The service of an establishment really takes you a long way and this one missed the mark. We spent $48 on mediocre ice cream and terrible service. It was our first time here and with the lackluster of wanting to keep our business, it we will definitely not be returning. I was hoping for so much more since it is so close to our house. People usually say it’s the teens that lack customer service skills but it was the adult.
