The place is really cool. The beer is great and the tour of the brewery recommended.
Good food and beer, painfully slow service
The brewery tour was great! Super relaxed, fun, informative and plenty to “taste”. The Kashmiri Dahl pizza was also one of the best sacrilegious pizzas I’ve had!One big issue with this place... there were soooooooo many children in the bar, often poorly attended to. There must have been at least 25+ young children on this Saturday afternoon. I work with kids and am happy being around them but in this very loud and not particularly child friendly bar it was really quite jarring. I couldn’t help but think that if these mums and dads were working class rather than mummies of the yummiest kind then social services would have a field day. Unattended alcohol everywhere, babies left sleeping in prams with no parent in sight, absolutely nothing for kids to do and a really loud DJ in the corner trying to have herself heard above the cacophony. We even saw the bouncer having to do a bit of childminding... Is anywhere that requires bouncers really a safe and beneficial place for children? It’s just a shame because really we could only stay for one drink after the tour as it was loud and chaotic. My ears rang afterwards, it must have been a lot for the younglings. On the plus side we were well over the peak of Mount Tipsy thanks to the generous tour tasters. They brew some great beer!
