The recipe for success of this bar is its mouthwatering coconut shrimps, fillet steaks and rainbow trout. Here you will find nicely cooked crème brûlée, white chocolate bread pudding and cream caramel. Delicious pinot grigio, martinis or mexican beer are the most popular drinks of Cabernet Grill. It's nice to taste great chocolate frappe, white chocolate mocha or ginger beer.

A cosy atmosphere and beautiful interior make this place so good. Most visitors note that the staff is attentive at this spot. Guests say that the service is fabulous here. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are attractive. This bar has got Google 4.6 according to the visitors' opinions.

We had planned a special birthday dinner here for 4 back in January. We ordered our meals and when the order came out, one of the entrees was the wrong one. The runner delivering the food sais that they would get the correct meal out ASAP. It took about 10 to 15 mins before our waiter came to check on us. Another meal had the wrong side with it. The waiter said that he would get both errors corrected. Some length of time passed and the new meal and side arrived. The other people at our table had already eaten most of their meal. Later the manager came by and was very rude and offered no apologies. We paid for the meal and will never come back here. We will go to other nice places in Fredericksburg.

We celebrated my birthday at the Cabernet Grill and were completely amazed. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We were surprised with a birthday card and tasting of a homemade soup as a starter. The menu options were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere really sets this establishment apart. 10/10 recommend. Will be coming back next time we are in town!

This was a terrible experience for me and my significant other while on vacation (literally our worst) and I do not recommend them to anyone with so many other friendlier options.   First and foremost, we read the reviews online and they seemed fine. One or two locals even recommended them so I was happy I booked them several weeks before our trip in July.   When you walk up, you are greeted with the beautiful sights and sounds of waterfalls, greenery, etc. We were impressed and were confident we would have a lovely dinner date!   But, keep reading....   We were seated within about 2 minutes and all was fine. We started talking about a few drink options like the wine flights or just getting a bottle of wine. We were unsure about a few food options me and my girlfriend kept talking it out amongst ourselves. Out of the corner of my eye, there was a random guy standing somewhat close by and I thought nothing of it. I literally thought he was a bus boy. Then when we started talking about bread, the guy apprehensively walks over and simply asks if we are ready for bread?   Confused, I look at him and say sure thing but are you our server? He said yes to which I said, oh ok, yes please, we will have some bread. After that, still a bit confused I politely asked him a few questions about the wine flights since we didn't know much about them and I asked about the steak, etc.   Needless to say, we were a bit baffled why we were not offered with a polite greeting, or "welcome to Cabernet Grill Texas Wine Country Restaurant , is this your first time here?" etc. etc. We did not receive any greeting whatsoever and it was not a good first impression.   Our food comes out in a reasonable amount of time and to be honest, the food was just "ok." It wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad either. But the entire time, our server (who's named I learned later was John) just didn't like us. He had something against us for whatever reason and it just went on and on and on.  When I watched him, he seemed normal to all of the other customers, especially when the table of 6 older caucasian guests were seated. Me and my S.O. listened in carefully and he gave them a greeting, stated his name, and the list went on and on! At this point, it was clear we were being singled out.   After we paid our bill we went to the front and asked to speak with the manager.  We told him the situation and just looked at us like we were complete idiots, almost like "ok, what do you want me to do about it?" He did say "Ok, I will have a talk with him" but he never offered an apology, never stated anything to the affect of "I'm so sorry and this is not the way we do business. Is there anything I can do on your next visit to regain your trust?" Nope, all we got was a look of annoyance from him. Then I asked what their policy is regarding servers giving an introduction or greeting and he admitted there wasn't one, and "each server can do whatever they want." I was floored and dumbfounded. So to recap, if a server like John wants to treat you like you do not exist (which is how we felt compared to other tables we saw him attend and speak to), then it's ok.   It should be noted that I did get the chance to speak with John after I spoke to the manager at the front of the restaurant. After I asked him if this is how he treats all his guests he LITERALLY SAID: "You guys never spoke to me or greeted me first, or asked me anything" to which I was personally offended that he forgot WE WERE THEIR GUESTS and I did ask about the wine and steaks!!! I can't even make this up. Are we in elementary school? It's unreal!   When I read the other reviews, it is clear to me that it's the luck of the draw with this restaurant. If you have an issue where a manager is involved, then good luck to you. You are on your own because there is no leadership, there is no accountability, there is no standard for respect, they do not treat you like family, etc. I do not recommend this restaurant as you will feel discriminated against for no reason since "each server can do whatever they want" and the manager doesn't care.
