Oh my god that Caesar salad though!! My Spanish kind of sucks so I don't think the waiter realized I wanted one too. My husband and I shared his then had to flag down the server to ask for another one it was just that good! My husband had the carne dish with rice and guacamole and I had the seafood risotto special, both were great. Oh, we also shared some calamari and a shrimp appetizer with roasted garlic--the portions were modest, but that was nice because we ended up having room for dessert :) I've NEVER liked flan--it's always tasted like gross caramel jello to me, but I'd read a review on here that the flan here was super creamy and custardy and HOLY SHIT it was amazing!! My husband got the fruit and cheese dessert--he didn't care for the cheese aspect, but he knew it was gonna be on there so that's his own damn fault lol. I will 100% go back!! (Once we get a sentri pass--crossing the border is such a pain in the ass currently).
I come down to Tijuana at least once a month and Caesar's is my go to spot for food. Everything they serve is absolutely delicious. We've been steadily working through everything on their menu and not once have we been disappointed. They make great drinks, killer salads, and every entree has been on point. The food is super yummy and filling, but the desserts are so dope you still end up ordering those too. To top it off, the pricing is ridiculous compared to US standards. I usually come as a part of 4, we order apps, salads, LOTS of drinks, entrees and desserts and we've never spent more than $200 TOTAL- and that's including a super solid tip. I absolutely love this place and look forward to my meal every time I come down. 10/10 highly recommend.
I'd been itching to visit for years but hadn't made it until now for a friend's birthday. They did wonderfully accommodating a large party like we had. The service was excellent, our wine glasses always topped off and drinks replenished. The ambiance was very Italian, classy, old school. The have a wonderful wine and decent tequila list. LOVED the bone marrow- definitely try! My friends loved the escargot. And the bread is bomb! I enjoyed the presentation of the Caesar salad, mixed table side, BUT it was bland, in my group/personal opinion. We were talking about what we'd add to it up give it some flavor. Never had a Caesar salad I thought that about and I make them at home or order them out, regularly. I may have just had too high of expectations for a place where the salad was supposedly invented (hehe)... There is a lot more I'd like to try, so I'm sure I'll head back.
