Having seen Ithaca Commons, it's time to have a rest at this cafe. The key aspect of Cafe Dewitt is the Vegetarian cuisine. Based on the reviewers' opinions, waiters serve perfectly cooked brioche french toasts, salads and sourdough toasts here. Try good pancakes, brioche toasts and Compote. Here you can drink delicious rum. A collection of great espresso or good hot chocolate is provided to visitors.

Restaurants in the middle of the mall so can be noisy with customers walking through. Gf and I ordered corn beef hash and Salem special. Beef was overcooked but sandwich and potatoes nicely seasoned and tasted great! Service kind of slow but was peak time on a weekend. I love it here! It's so cute, and fun with a great atmosphere and the staff are so nice. They have a great standard menu and the specials are delicious, most of the ingredients are locally produced and the jams are made in house. The Thom sandwich is one of my favorites, but you can't go wrong. The desserts are amazing, the coffee is good, and they have awesome glutten free and vegan options. The prices are reasonable, and they pay their staff a living wage (according to the menu.) There can be a wait on busier days but it's worth it! I can't recommend it enough. The breakfast menu can be easily ordered without meat. The staff are very nice and happy to suggest alternatives.

Enjoyed our breakfast at Cafe Dewitt. I haven't been back in about 15 years, and it is still a solid choice for breakfast or lunch. While the service/arrival of food took a bit, it was great to be back and the food was worth the wait! If you are looking for a breakfast or lunch place, I recommend Cafe Dewitt.
